1956-1984:  Eldon (ZEKE) Chamberlain, 

Returning home to Nebraska in 1946 after serving in the Navy on one of the picket ships in the Battle of Saipan in the Mariana Islands during World War II, Eldon moved from Beatrice, Nebraska to Kearney, Nebraska, and ultimately founded Kearney Concrete in 1956. He provided high quality ready-mix concrete products to several locations including many residential and commercial jobs. Some of the projects he supplied concrete to include:

    • Baldwin Filters
    • Kearney’s original waste water treatment plant
    • Centennial Towers East and West and Football Parking Lot at Kearney State College (Now University of Nebraska–Kearney)
    • Hinky Dinky Grocery Store (Now Hastings Video/Hobby Lobby)
    • The original First United Methodist Church on Linden Drive
    • The original reconstruction on the Platte River Bridge on Highway 44 south
    • The original Builders Warehouse on 2nd Avenue
